The Foundation aims to support projects that collaboratively engage local stakeholders in efforts to conserve Montana’s open spaces. The Foundation prioritizes research and programs focused on:
Identifying critical sections along Montana's roads for wildlife crossings and implementing innovative strategies to support safe passage for wildlife
Replacing extant fencing with wildlife-friendly fencing in critical migration areas, and removing fencing that is no longer needed, to reduce animal mortality and injury
Preserving open landscapes in migration corridors and supporting healthy habitats and ecosystems
